REASONS FOR VOTE
Representative C. Morales submitted the following reason for vote to be printed in the journal:
When the record vote on HB 17 was cast, I was away from my desk in protest of this special session's redistricting scheme and the harm the proposed map would impose. I would have voted no on HB 17 because requiring local government bodies to cover the cost of public postings and mail disclosures will unnecessarily limit their ability to manage local tax rates.
Representative Rodríguez Ramos submitted the following reason for vote to be printed in the journal:
When the record vote for HB 17 was taken, I was away from my desk in protest of the special session called to pass a racially gerrymandered redistricting scheme. I would have voted no on HB 17 because requiring local government bodies to cover the cost of public postings and mail disclosures will unnecessarily limit their ability to manage local tax rates.

REASONS FOR VOTE
Representative Lozano submitted the following reason for vote to be printed in the journal:
When Record No. 64 was taken, I was excused for important business. I would have voted no. Lowering the threshold to one percent will adversely impact emergency services and hospital districts. Taxpayers deserve the best health services when needed.
Representative C. Morales submitted the following reason for vote to be printed in the journal:
When the record vote on SB 10 was cast, I was away from my desk in protest of this special session's redistricting scheme and the harm the proposed map would impose. I would have voted no on SB 10. I am strongly opposed to this bill, which artificially limits local governments' ability to set tax rates that allow them to provide appropriate local services. These policies will hurt school funding and housing affordability efforts, negatively impacting working families in the long term.
