PARLIAMENTARY INQUIRY

REPRESENTATIVE HARRISON: Mr. Speaker, as you know, we are well over halfway through this legislative session. I looked at the schedule today, and I didn't see any, but I want to make sure I wasn't misreading it. Are we taking up and considering any bill today on any topic? This is a proper point of parliamentary inquiry.

SPEAKER BURROWS: Mr. Harrison, there is no calendar for today.

HARRISON: Okay. So we're not taking up any bills today.

SPEAKER: Mr. Harrison, there is no calendar for today.

HARRISON: Are we taking up and considering any bills on any topic tomorrow?

SPEAKER: Mr. Harrison, there is no calendar posted for tomorrow.

HARRISON: So also no. Mr. Speaker, we're well over halfway through session. Why did you feel it was necessary to prioritize resolutions honoring Beyoncé and Zoroastrianism ahead of dealing with property taxes and ending taxpayer-funded DEI and transgender ideology in our public universities?

SPEAKER: Mr. Harrison, that is not a proper parliamentary inquiry.

HARRISON: Mr. Speaker, with all due respect, it may be the most proper parliamentary inquiry that has been made this session.
