Dear Lord, you are gracious and compassionate. You are our rock. Your work is perfect, for all your ways are just. You are a God of truth and without iniquity. How just and upright are you, how wonderful your love. You give to the beast and bird alike their food, you do not delight in the strength of the horse. You do not take pleasure in human power but in a humble and contrite heart that fears you, that hopes in your mercy. Guide our work today with an attitude of humility and cooperation for the common good we seek that may glorify you. We ask this in your holy name today. Amen.
